According to Hindu religion and Veda’s it is very fruitful to blow the shank in every auspicious occasion or ceremony. Blowing the shankh is an ancient practice in the Hindu households and it also said that blowing the shankh removes negative energy from the surrounding and helps to keep the mind fresh and energetic. Also as per the science blowing the shankh also leads to the healthy lungs of the people who use to blow it on daily basis. On blowing the Vamvriti shankh it generates the auspicious sound of the “OM” which makes it more sacred.
Blowing Shankhs are usually left faced shankh and hence also known as “Vamvriti Shankh”. These shankh should be kept in the pooja room if one is able to blow it on daily basis OR you may also kept this in your Vault.
